Community Art Exhibit
Murrieta Market Nights
[December 21, 2023]
Join us at our year-end Community Art Exhibit featuring the long-awaited photos from our Community Photo Project. This is your chance to see what the Pearl Center for Creative Arts has been inspiring in our community in its inaugural year and beyond, I “shutter” to think you’d miss this exciting “development”.
We will display (for the first time!) 117 black and white photos taken by community members during 2022-2023 at Murrieta Market Nights in what we coined as the “Community Photo Project”.
Participation in this project was free and open to all ages, and took place over the course of many Murrieta Market Nights, specifically at the Art @ the Alleyway; participants were allowed to wander the whole Washington Avenue street to find the right photo opp! The only instructions given were how to operate the point-and-shoot 35mm camera, loaded with black and white film, and participants were encouraged to take a picture of whatever they wanted.
This event will take place at Murrieta Market Night on Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 5pm to 9pm. Parking and admission are free.

Look for new murals coming soon!
Proceeds support local art workshops for kids, community outreach in the form of pop-up art and living history exhibits, as well as our “big hairy goal” of placing a train car in downtown Murrieta to operate as our city’s first cultural arts center, offering even more ways to learn about family history, local history and explore our community’s artistic side.
