About the Murrieta Train Project

All Aboard! Join us in our community movement to bring a train to downtown Murrieta!

This initiative aims to serve the community of Murrieta, California by working with local organizations to relocate a train to our historic downtown and open to the public as our city’s first cultural arts center – a place for family history, local history, and community art.

Learn more about our project in this 3-minute video from the Murrieta City Council Meeting on October 3, 2023.

Establishing itself as Murrieta’s first cultural arts center, we plan to use the train to serve as our public center. The ideal location is at the former site of Murrieta’s old depot, on the site of the city-planned Pioneer Park.

Working with the city and our local railway museum, we hope to establish a shared vision and plan of how to bring this dream to life to benefit our community. We are currently seeking funds to help cover the cost of relocating a train car to Murrieta, and related expenses including refurbishment.

Thanks for supporting the #MurrietaTrainProject!
