We proudly exhibited many items from the Emma Collection at the “Heritage, Hats, and Handbags” exhibit at the Murrieta Museum in May, 2024, as a tribute to “What Mom Used to Wear”. Here are some highlights from that exhibit that featured heirlooms from generations of the founding Fallbrook Smelser and Sullivan families, who had family visitors proud to show their children and representing the legacy of this family. We displayed many more historical items shared on loan by fellow Murrieta Valley Historical Society members from the Price family, Brookover family, and Jennings family.

Many thanks to Micah and Rebecca Emerine who have shared historic memorabilia and biographical information that informed the curation of this exhibit, and continue to share in our passion for family storytelling and honoring the legacy of the generations that came before us.
